how it felt to be softly sung an original lullaby
to feel a wave of calmness absorb the room when you walk by
my favorite songs are the ones you played when i was in the back seat of the car
watching my little brother grow into a reflection of your words, a reflection of your voice
singing me to sleep
a reflection of all that you are.
now i walk into the room and hear the strums of two guitars
i am the girl who listens
i will do so happily
because of you,
singing me to sleep.
a glimmer of light in my eye and a twinkle in my necklace
my dads hand on the strings of his acoustic guitar
our voices fill the room
everytime i think of you
i feel a shot right through with a bolt of blue
it's no problem of mine but its a problem i find
living a life that i can't leave behind

winter was always my favorite season & the roses were always in bloom
i still feel the california sun before i open my eyes.
my perception of the world was formed under the sun. this collection refrences winter in california and in the 1920s; a season of softness and soft shifts. drawing inspiration from silhouette, pattern, andway of life.
i ran away but i will always be looking over my shoulder, toward the place that formed how i see.
from,
quinnlan
